A recent article from Tania LaViolet at Inside Higher Ed examines methods to ensure a more equitable future of work by improving degree attainment for community college students. Using The Transfer Playbook developed by the Aspen Institute College Excellence Program and the Community College Research Center (CCRC) this piece outlines the “essential strategies for effective partnership between community colleges and four-year colleges to support greater and more equitable transfer student success”. One important strategy includes linking transfer pathways to careers so that students can understand the options. This is a call for better navigation in order to get individuals on the right path. Now more than ever students and job seekers need a trained talent professional to help them navigate through the education system and into the right career path.
