The manufacturing sector is a key facet of the U.S. economy, accounting for 8.8% of the country’s total employment and generating 12.5% of the total gross domestic product¹. It is also a strong source of well-paying jobs, with non-college-educated workers making an average of 10.9% more than comparable workers in the rest of the economy1.
