My biggest challenge is finding employment for those who have backgrounds.
Always be willing to see another side of things and be open to new information
My idea would be to explain what I need clearly and confidently, sometimes when I get nervous I don't communicate the best. Moving forward, I will take a step back to and think about how I want to communicate and how it will be interpreted
I would try to give each person the same amount of time and respect. I also would have had a written out agenda to make sure I stayed on track and focused on each point.
My former boss who has a criminal background advocates for second chance employers and reentry programs. He sees the hard work and dedication and speaks to leadership about their situations and advocates every aspect of stakeholders to obtain a plan for reentry.
